Ann Perry, a native Edentonian, is the owner and broker-in-charge of Perry & Co Sotheby's International Realty. Her passion for working with people and her community is evidenced by the path of her careers; as an elementary school teacher, as the Executive Director of the Chowan Arts Council, and as a real estate broker. In 2000, she obtained her real estate license to become more knowledgeable in discussions regarding the development of their family owned Edenton Marina into the proposed Pembroke Pointe residential community. Not one to do things half-heartedly, she started Pembroke Point Real Estate in 2002. While working out of her home, Ann had the honor of becoming the Exclusive Listing Agent for the Edenton Cotton Mill Condominium Project and worked closely with the developers from the project's conception. During the same period, she had the privilege of brokering the land for the proposed Sandy Point New Urban Community. With the growth of the company, she encouraged her daughter, Mary Scott Haigler, to join her in 2004. Together they became Perry & Co. Real Estate and opened their first office on Water Street. The firm's consistent performance as one of the top agencies in Northeastern North Carolina earned them the honor of their affiliation with Sotheby's International Realty in 2007. Ann is a hands on agent who takes great pride in the people she has helped bring to Edenton and thoroughly enjoys seeing them become part of the community. She truly believes that newcomers are our greatest asset, bringing rich past experiences with a willingness to share time and talent that make Edenton a more interesting place to live. Her husband Warner is in agribusiness and they have two married children. One of Ann's greatest joys is that both children live in Edenton and have blessed them with five grandchildren. Ann serves on the Edenton Historical Commission and is an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She holds a BA degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
