The small community of Woody Creek was centered around a log cabin built in the 1940s, now Woody Creek Tavern, as well as the Woody Creek Community Center. It is located adjacent to Highway 82 where Woody Creek meets the Roaring Fork River, eight miles northwest of Aspen. There are only about 300 residents of Woody Creek, but those lucky enough to call it home live in developments or luxury homes nestled in the trees or cabins with relaxing riverfront views.
