Events in Edenton, NC
There's always something of interest going on in our region. Edenton welcomes thousands of tourists to both the annual Christmas Candlelight Tour and the biennial Pilgrimage Tour, both featuring private residences decked out in their finery. Easels in the Garden is held on the Pilgrimage's "off year", and features regional artists at work as tour goers meander through private gardens in the height of their Spring glory. Our downtown waterfront literally explodes on the Fourth of July, with the area’s largest fireworks display. The waterfront park hosts a festival, and boats fill the bay. People come from surrounding counties to witness the Optimist Club’s dazzling display over Edenton Bay. September brings the area's only regional fair to our American Legion, a local tradition that has been delighting thrill seekers for nearly 70 years. Broad Street plays host to two annual parades. The Peanut Festival Parade in early October and the Christmas Parade in early December feature regional bands, local clubs and civic organizations and a host of enthusiastic citizens.
